These simple and easy to play games involve matching a sound beginning card with a correct word ending found on the playing board. In pairs or groups of up to 4, the games encourage players to recognise rhyme and to segment words into sounds.

Pupils will discover that by changing the beginning sound they can make different words. They will become aware of the regularity of many letter/sound patterns that exist between groups of words with similar spellings. There are two levels (early and fluent), each with 4 playing boards and 32 beginning sound cards.
