The Schleich Hippopotamus stands firmly on all fours with its mouth wide open. While hippos aren’t strong swimmers, they spend most of their day in the water. Because of their weight, they can’t just float or drift. Instead, when crossing a river, they sink to the bottom and walk along the riverbed to reach the other side.
